Jamie Langfield made his first appearance for Aberdeen on the weekend and admits it was nice to be back out on the pitch.
The 32-year old goalkeeper had an operation after suffering brain seizures just under a year ago but was back in action for the Dons, keeping a clean sheet in the 2-0 win at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Langfield, who had a busy start to the match with a number of vital saves early, said it was a great feeling to again be in the saddle but is remaining calm about a possible contract extension.
"I had a busy start and that helped me settle in a bit. Maybe the boys thought, 'He has been out so long, we'll give him a wee bit work to do' for the first 15 minutes.
"I'm always nervous before games and this one was no different from any other but it was still enjoyable.
"The manager and I spoke about a new contract about a month ago and the club haven't put pressure on me and, as I told the gaffer, it is just a matter of me wanting to play.""It was good to be back and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There's a big difference in playing in bounce games behind closed doors to the real thing. It was a good, all-round shut-out and three points so personally it has been a great day," he said.
