Langerak to start in next three Borussia Dortmund fixtures

Australian goalkeeper Mitch Langerak will retain his place in Borussia Dortmund's starting line-up for the rest of 2014.

The 26-year old gained a rare start in the 1-0 German Bundesliga win over Hoffenheim last weekend before gaining some further Champions League experience in the 1-1 draw with Anderlecht on Wednesday night.

The appearances were Langerak's second and first respectively in both competitions but he will now hold his spot over the experienced Roman Weidenfeller in Juergen Klopp's side for upcoming clashes with Hertha Berlin, Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen.

"Yesterday I had a very good conversation with Roman Weidenfeller," the Dortmund boss said. "Mitch will play in the next three games.

"In the new year, everything starts again. It is not a decision for eternity."

Since joining Die Schwarzgelben from A-League club Melbourne Victory in 2010, Langerak has made 24 appearances in all competitions including 12 in the Bundesliga and three in the Champions League.
