Mitch Langerak enjoyed a solid debut for Borussia Dortmund in their 3-1 win over Bayern Munich yesterday.
The former Melbourne Victory goalkeeper, 22, stepped in for injured skipper Roman Weidenfeller and turned in an assured performance.
Victory coach Ernie Merrick said, "His career went through the roof last season when he took over from Glen Moss.
"The secret for him now is to get lots of game time under pressure.
"He's a young kid with plenty of confidence and very mature for his age. There's others in front of him to take over from Schwarzer but he's got the potential to become the No. 1 for Australia."
