Lampard wants Ribery, Villa at Chelsea

Frank Lampard has joined Chelsea captain John Terry in publicly declaring hopes that Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery and Valencia's David Villa can make the move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Lampard said: "If we can add a bit more fantasy up front then that will be a plus for us, but we're already a good team who play good football.

"We need that edge, someone who can produce something for us as a wide man or a creative striker, someone who can work with Didier Drogba or Nicolas Anelka.

"We want to push on again, but it's up to the club to decide what level we are going to be. It seems our intentions are to push on this summer and add a couple more players who can really make us top drawer.

"Kaka is one of my favourite players and I love watching him play, the elegance of it. He doesn't play a particularly Brazilian style, there are no circus tricks, but he's very effective.

"Ribery and Villa are fantastic players and anyone would want them. Hopefully we can bring in players at that level to kick us on that little bit more."
