Chelsea will need to wait until the last group match to qualify for the Champions League final 16 after being held to a 1-all draw with French club Bordeaux.
Frank Lampard was sent off late in the match for a second bookable offence and it looked like Bordeaux had the ascendency but the Blues managed to hang on for an undeserved draw.
In-form striker Nicolas Anelka was again the saviour for Chelsea when he netted in the 60th minute before Alou Diarra equalised with a header with seven minutes left.
Chelsea now needs to defeat Cluj in the final group match to qualify but a victory is not essential, as a point will be enough if Roma can get the win over Bordeaux at home.
