Frank Lampard is ready to turn his back on New York City FC and sign for Manchester City LONG-TERM. The Daily Star says he is in talks with Manchester City about staying with the club until NEXT YEAR.
City announced this week that Lampard had extended his loan spell from New York City until the end of the season.
Now boss Manuel Pellegrini wants to keep him even longer and plans to sign him up until the summer of 2016.
Lampard's decision to stay put in Manchester for now had infuriated fans and officials of the new MLS franchise.
It now looks like he will not be joining them at all having proved such a huge hit at The Eithad in the first half of the season, including scoring the winner against Sunderland on Thursday.
