Chelsea hero Frank Lampard is set to captain England for their World Cup game with Costa Rica.
It will mark Lampard's last game with the Three Lions.
Steven Gerrard, who is still considering his international future, will be rested for the dead rubber with Costa Rica, meaning veteran midfielder Lampard can register one more World Cup appearance.
Ross Barkley will have the chance to impress from the start after a lively substitute appearance in Thursday's 2-1 defeat by Uruguay, while fellow youngster Luke Shaw is set to play his first game in the tournament.
