Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has said that it's hard to imagine the Reds without captain Seven Gerrard.

The 34-year old midfielder is set to move to MLS champions LA Galaxy in the summer after spending his entire career at Anfield and teammate Lallana is expecting a gaping hole on Merseyside to be the result of his departure.

"You can't really imagine Liverpool without a player like Stevie," Lallana told the Liverpool Echo.

"I don't think what he's done will really be put into context until after he's left. Like everything in life, you don't appreciate things as much as you should until they're no longer there."
