Lallana leaning towards Liverpool exit

Adam Lallana is preparing to leave Liverpool at the end of this season.

The Telegraph says while Reds boss Jurgen Klopp wants to keep the midfielder, the fact that no progress has yet been made on a new deal suggests he could leave at the end of the season to pursue more regular first-team football.

Lallana impressed in the weekend win over Wolves and is likely to feature in the upcoming matches against Sheffield United in the Premier League and Everton in the FA Cup, but the arrival of Japan international Takumi Minamino has further dented his prospects of consistent selection.

Injury issues have dogged the England midfielder in recent seasons but he has featured 14 times for the Reds in 2019/20, scoring an equaliser in the draw at Manchester United in October.
