Lallana: I'll have summer rest before improving Liverpool output

Adam Lallana insists he will increase his output for Liverpool next season.

The 25-year old midfielder has scored five goals in 39 appearances in all competitions for the Reds since arriving at Anfield from Southampton last summer.

Lallana has had an injury-interrupted campaign but has vowed to rest up in the summer before returning with a bang next season.

"I'll have my rest in the summer as it's important a player gets his rest at the end of the season, but I'm looking forward to the start of next season," he told Liverpoolfc.com.

"It's been up and down this season for me picking up lots of injuries which have prevented me from really kicking on, but I'm excited for Saturday's game and we want to finish the season off with a couple of wins.

"I'm working on my finishing and am always looking forward to improving my game.

"At the start of the season I wanted to get into double figures, which I haven't managed to do, but I'll be looking to improve that next season."
