Brighton & Hove Albion manager Oscar Garcia insists he is not worried about the fact that he has not emerged as a potential managerial candidate at Barcelona.
Rumours continue to circle regarding the Camp Nou future of Gerardo 'Tata' Martino who could reportedly make way for Borussia Dortmund's Juergen Klopp at the end of the current season.
Barcelona could experience an unsuccessful season under Martino, who took the reins from Tito Vilanova last summer, if they fail to bridge the four-point gap on current Primera Division leaders Atletico Madrid.
There are constant rumours linking Martino with a summer exit from Barca which has prompted speculation about who will replace him in the Catalan hotseat.
That group includes Ernesto Valverde, Frank de Boer, Luis Enrique and Paco Jemez - to name just a few - but one name missing is that of Brighton's Oscar who spent a massive part of his childhood and early adult years at the famed club.
Despite being with the youth academy from 1984 to 1991 and involved in the senior squad from 1991 to 1999, former attacking midfielder Oscar does not necessarily believe he should be included in a list denoting who are possible replacements if Martino happens to meet his demise.
"I miss that leave my name in the pools to fill the bench for Barça," read a translated excerpt from Oscar's interview with Sport.es.
"Believe that we must first respect the coach there, I will not get into this game because neither club has said it will stop, and he has said to be and while Martino is Barca coach, I will not get into this game."
However, the ex-Barca youth coach has been linked with a potential move to the Premier League to replace Barcelona great Michael Laudrup, and current interim boss Garry Monk, at Swansea City which would certainly be a step up from Brighton.
Additionally, former Valencia and Espanyol mid Oscar is of the belief that perhaps the team needs some reinforcements in the offseason after failing in the Copa del Rey final this month and faltering in the quarter-finals of the Champions League at the hands of Atleti.
"The Barca need tweaks I do not know what they are, it must decide what they are there and working every day at the club," added Oscar.
Oscar currently has his Seagulls sitting seventh on England's second tier table, just one point from the promotion play-off spots, with just two regular season fixtures remaining.
