Former Fiorentina striker Marius Lacatus is backing their move for Ianis Hagi.

Hagi is the son of Romanian legend Gheorge Hagi and is in talks to join Fiorentina this summer from Viitorul.

Lacatus told TMW: "He looks like his father, also for the role he plays. He has technique, great ability with his feet, shoots very well from outside the area and even in dogfights asserts itself.

"Let's wait and see, hope he can do great things for both Fiorentina for Romania.

"He can become a great player. But it is early to say for sure, he is seventeen ..."
