LA Galaxy have acquired the services of Chivas USA defender David Junior Lopes in exchange for midfielder Paolo Cardozo.
29-year old Brazilian Lopes joined Chivas in August last year, making eight appearances for the club last term but failing to see action in the opening five games of 2012.
He will now saddle up for the Galaxy who have decided to trade 22-year old Uruguayan Cardozo, who made a total of 23 appearances in all competitions after he was taken with pick number 16 in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft.
