Landon Donovan has made it clear that he is not joining a Mexican club this winter.
The LA Galaxy star has been linked with a possible January move to Liga MX side Atlas but he told Galaxy Insider Adam Serrano that he is not about to depart on loan.
"I will not be going on loan," he said.
"I never say never but I will not be playing in Mexico. Except for playing in TJ to beat them."
Donovan has had two winter loan spells in recent times, both with Everton, but is unlikely to go anywhere during the 2014 offseason.
