David Beckham says he will be back from the Royal Wedding in time for LA Galaxy's next game against FC Dallas. He will take up a whirlwind trip to London for next Friday's ceremony and then onto Texas on Saturday to prepare for the Galaxy's Sunday away game.
"It's a royal wedding, and those don't come around very often," he said, while admitting that the tight turnaround was "not ideal."
He also told the LA Times, "I'll go to the wedding on Friday, and then I'll fly out of London straight to Dallas on Saturday morning. I'll arrive before the [Galaxy] team. It'll be down to the manager to see how I feel on the day of the game, and I'll do everything right and do everything that is best for the team."
