LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham admits he was struggling in his comeback game against Columbus Crew. Beckham appeared for the first time this season in Galaxy's 3-1 win.

"Being out there felt good," Beckham said. "I've never been out of the game for such a long time."

The 35-year-old had little involvement in the match Saturday night, although he did pick up a yellow card for his challenge on Emmanuel Ekpo.

Beckham said he was feeling the effects of being out of the game so long.

"After 10 minutes on the field, I thought I was dying," Beckham said. "But I came through it, felt good after that and finished strong."
