LA Galaxy's Beckham unhappy after DC United's penalty decision

David Beckham is of firm belief that DC United did not deserve the penalty they received in the dying stages of the weekend's clash with his LA Galaxy.

The visitors led 1-0 deep into the RFK Stadium meeting until Charlie Davies theatrically threw himself to the ground in an attempt to win a late penalty….and it worked.

As he and young Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez challenged for the ball in the box, Davies went to ground with referee Abbey Okulaja pointing to the spot.

Beckham, who had earlier set up the Galaxy's opener for Mike Magee, was very critical of the decision and feels LA were hardly done by.

"Disappointed, disgusted," Beckham said. "I felt we deserved the game. There's no reason why we shouldn't be walking away from this stadium tonight with three points."

Despite the solitary point from the match, Beckham feels that the Galaxy are playing some very good soccer that they now have to turn into victories.

"I don't think there's much to improve on because I think that we played well," he added. "We passed the ball around well, we worked well, we defended well, so we just need to continue that.

"There's not much that we need to work on, but we need to just work on obviously playing like that again and hopefully winning."
