LA Galaxy star David Beckham will spend Thanksgiving with US troops at their barracks in Germany. The England international will be at the base in Kaiserslautern for a morale-boosting visit with Galaxy teammates which is a sign of ongoing support for the military campaign in Afghanistan.

Beckham and the Galaxy will fly out on Monday, the day after they compete in the MLS Cup final, and on the 25th they will visit injured troops at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Centre and will also take in Thanksgiving the following day.

That evening, the Galaxy will take on Kaiserslautern FC in a friendly match at the Fritz Walter Stadium.
