Bruce Arena says it is too hard to compare the current LA Galaxy team to what has been in the past.
2011 saw the Galaxy record the second-most points in league history whilst losing just five matches on their way to the Supporters' Shield and this weekend's MLS Cup final.
But Arena, who led DC United to the 1996 and 1997 MLS Cup titles, is unsure how he can go about comparing the two sides if the Galaxy were to clinch this year's championship.
"Couldn't even compare it," Arena said. "I don't even know how you do that.
"It doesn't make any sense. I have no idea how you even begin that discussion.
"I don't know how you compare any of that stuff. I can never figure it out. Are the Yankees from the '60s better than the Yankees today? How the hell do you answer that question?"
