Striker Robbie Keane has lost confidence according to LA Galaxy manager Bruce Arena.

The Republic of Ireland international has missed some gilt-edged chances in the past three matches for the Galaxy, including some vital ones in the CONCACAF Champions League defeat to Toronto FC on Wednesday night, and Arena admits he will need to regain his confidence as quickly as possible.

"He's lost a little confidence," said Arena.

"He's had some chances in these past three games. You lose your confidence a little bit. He's going to have to get it back real quick."

The former Tottenham attacker and Aston Villa loanee will get the chance to get back to goalscoring form when the Galaxy host DC United in MLS play on Sunday.
