LA Galaxy remaining patient on Beckham

LA Galaxy boss Bruce Arena admits the club will take a cautious approach with David Beckham as the MLS playoffs edge closer.

The English veteran last played for the Galaxy more than three weeks ago because of a sprained ankle and although he returned to training this week, he may not be risked against the Colorado Rapids this weekend.

"David is back in training. Yes," Arena said. "Good to see him back on the field, yep. ... Day-to-day is the plan.

"We'll see," he said regarding the trip to Colorado. "Just going to take it day-to-day right now."

The Galaxy currently sit second on the Western Conference table with four regular season matches remaining, eleven points behind league leaders San Jose Earthquakes and equal on points with third-placed Real Salt Lake.
