LA Galaxy assistant coach Dave Sarachan insists the reigning champions are not already pencilling in a victory over Vancouver Whitecaps in their MLS playoff knockout clash.
The Galaxy host the Whitecaps on Thursday and despite the fact the visitors have saluted just once in their past 10 outings, Sarachan is not going into the fixture overconfident.
"Absolutely not," Sarachan said. "The slate's wiped, as far as we're concerned, for all teams, and it's a new beginning. It sounds cliché, but it's true."
He added of the Whitecaps: "I think they've made a real effort to be a collective group when they don't have the ball.
"They're making it difficult to penetrate and find space. And they obviously have a component that's dangerous, in speed, if Mattocks is on the field and if Dane Richards is on the field."
