Chris Birchall is back training with English League Two outfit Port Vale.

The 25-year old, who made over 90 appearances with the club from 2001 until 2006, is just back at Vale Park for fitness purposes in between MLS seasons.

Birchall joined LA Galaxy last season and was part of the team that played off in the MLS Cup final, eventually going down to Real Salt Lake on penalties.
