MLS champions LA Galaxy have not quite secured a deal for Columbus Crew goalkeeper Will Hesmer.
Recent reports suggested that the 31-year old gloveman had already signed for the Galaxy but the club contacted MLSsoccer.com to say nothing had been finalised yet.
LA have already brought in Carlo Cudicini from Premier League club Tottenham and want to add Hesmer after acquiring his rights in last month's Re-Entry Draft.
The potential arrival of Hesmer will almost certainly mean the end for Josh Saunders after he came out of contract with the Galaxy at the end of 2012.
