Ahead of this Sunday's MLS Cup final, LA Galaxy have identified the Houston Dynamo player who they think poses a serious threat.
The 33-year old veteran striker has scored just a total of 14 goals over the past two seasons but the Galaxy are well aware just how dangerous he can be in front of goal and also what he brings to the Dynamo team.
"Brian [Ching] is the heart and soul of that team," said Galaxy defender Todd Dunivant who played with the Hawaiian-born USA international at San Jose Earthquakes. "He's been there for years.
"He's won two championships for them, and he's a great player."
Galaxy coach Bruce Arena agreed with Dunivant's sentiments regarding Ching: "He's a very good competitor; he's good in front of the goal. He's got physical qualities and scores a lot of goals with his head. He's an experienced guy, knows how to move off the ball, can finish with both feet and obviously good in the air.
"He looks like [the] Brian Ching that we've seen in the past and he's always a threat to get a goal. He's scored a lot of big goals in his career."
