LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena is of the belief that the 2014 MLS MVP award should be heading to one of his star players.
Galaxy captain Robbie Keane is in the running for the league's top individual honor on the back of 17 goals and 14 assists for the current league leaders.
Keane sits third on the scoring charts and equal second on the assists table from 27 appearances which suggests to Arena that he is the man who should be crowned as the most valuable player in the competition.
"Robbie has over the last three and a half years been consistently among the best players in the league," Arena told the Galaxy's official website.
"This year without being disrespectful to any of the players that would be considered, I think that it is Robbie in a landslide to be honest with you.
"His numbers show that, his team's performance shows that and since Robbie has been here, we've been consistently a winner and won a Supporters' Shield and two MLS Cups.
"It's no accident that Robbie has been here for all that and the value that he has for our team.
"Anyone with a brain in a game, it's hard to say that Robbie wouldn't be your first choice," said Arena. "He's having a remarkable season and a remarkable career in this league."
Former Tottenham star Keane will go up against the likes of teammate Landon Donovan, New York Red Bull striker Bradley Wright-Phillips and Sporting Kansas City's Dom Dwyer for this year's MVP prize.
