Krul hoping Newcastle are back to winning ways

Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul is hopeful that the team is back to winning consistency after Monday night's triumph.

The Toon, courtesy of a Demba Ba brace, beat Wigan Athletic 3-0 to end a run of four straight defeats and the Dutch goalkeeper is now targeting a top-half finish for the club who currently sit 14th on the table.

"We want top 10 and just take it from there," said Krul. "Who knows what we can achieve?

"We're not far away from the top end of the table.

"The league is quite tight this year and a few wins puts you right back up there and keeps everyone at rest a little bit."
