Arsenal powerbroker Stan Kroenke will back Arsene Wenger with a transfer warchest this month. The Daily Star says Kroenke and the rest of the board would sanction raiding some of the club's big cash reserves should Wenger identify the right calibre of player.

Arsenal have been watching Atletico Madrid hitman Diego Costa, who has also interested Manchester United and Chelsea.

Dimitar Berbatov has also been linked with an Emirates switch.
