New York City FC coach Jason Kreis is confident fans will embrace Frank Lampard once he arrives from Manchester City.

Kreis has refused to dwell on the furore surrounding Lampard's delayed move from City.

"We're going to have a player who's at the top of his game to give us a boost in the middle of the season."
