West Ham United midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate is proud of his first season in England.

Kouyate turned down Valencia to join the Hammers.

"It has been a dream come true for my family and me," he said. "The day I told my father I was coming to West Ham, he cried. It was a defining moment for me in my life and my career.

"I love England and I love London, it's an amazing city. I love the atmosphere at the club and the people I've met. I was very welcomed when I arrived here; it's now a home."
