Kolo Toure may be replaced by Yaya as Man City captain

Kolo Toure faces losing the Manchester City captaincy.

The News of the World says manager Roberto Mancini is putting the finishing touches to his City squad as they prepare to take on Chelsea and Manchester United for the title.

Assistant manager David Platt, appointed on a £900,000-a-year contract, has been working closely with Mancini in pre-season.

The pair have been actively discussing potential captains over the last few days, with Yaya Toure and Carlos Tevez in the frame.

Kolo Toure was City's captain last season, but a decision on the skipper's armband will be made shortly.
