Former Barcelona striker Meho Kodro says Antoine Griezmann will rediscover his best form - though it may not be with the Blaugrana.

Kodro was assistant coach at Real Sociedad as Griezmann was coming through.

He told Sport: "Technically it was a joy to see him, he had a very nice left foot. I thought he could be something, but I did not imagine that he could get here. The last five months with us he made a leap, he went up to the second team, then a friendly with the firsts and soon his name is already on the front line.

"He is aware that he is not performing as he can. Barça is this, if things don't work out and they don't perform, a lot of media pressure is generated. The focus is enlarged and that weighs on the player.

"I have no doubt that Griezmann is much more than he is now. I know what he's capable of, I know him. Any moment he can explode. More confident. I am hopeful that he will succeed and it will be with Barca."
