Blackburn Rovers assistant boss Archie Knox says Paul Ince is displaying the same qualities as Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ferguson's former sidekick at both Aberdeen and Manchester United teamed up with Ince in Lancashire this summer and has already seen signs of his former boss in the Rovers chief.

Knox told the Lancashire Telegraph: "They both have the same trait. That is why he was signed for Manchester United in the first place.

"Everyone knows Alex Ferguson is a winner. He hates losing and that is probably why it does not happen too much.

"Paul Ince is the same. He hates losing, does not take kindly to losing. Even in training there is a demand put on guys, you don't want to be on the losing side and stuff like that.

"That has carried forward into the games here just like it was carried into games at Aberdeen and Manchester United."
