USA national team head coach Juergen Klinsmann has named a squad of 20 players for the training camp that will run from January 3-26 in the United States and Panama.
The players and staff will report to Phoenix, Arizona on January 3 to begin training before moving to US Soccer's National Training Center at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California to continue training from January 13-20 ahead of the match in Phoenix against Venezuela on the 21st and the clash with Panama in Panama City four days later.
"We will spend the next few weeks introducing them to our ideas on how we want to play and what it means to be a part of the National Team.
"Ultimately, it will create more depth for us, which you need at this level. I'm very curious and excited to see this group.""This is a very important opportunity for these players," said Klinsmann. "They are the next in line behind the established players, and this is a chance to prove themselves.
Klinsmann has left out the likes of Fulham ace Clint Dempsey, Everton keeper Tim Howard and LA Galaxy star Landon Donovan (on loan at Everton) who are in the midst of Premier League campaigns at their respective clubs.
