Kiyotake hits stunner as Nurnberg play out six-goal thriller with Werder Bremen

Hiroshi Kiyotake was on target as FC Nurnberg played out a 3-3 draw with Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on the weekend.

The Japan midfielder pulled one back for Der Club in the 44th minute to make it 2-1 after an earlier own-goal from Berkay Dabanli and a breathtaking first-time finish from Eljero Elia doubled the home side's advantage.

Kiyotake then gave Nurnberg hope when he was well-placed to hammer a bouncing ball into the back of the net on the stroke of half-time.

Josip Drmic netted a leveller for the visitors early in the second half when he got on the end of Tomas Pekhart's pinpoint rightwing delivery before Elia grabbed his second in the 66th minute with a fine volley from range.

However, Nurnberg hit back with 20 minutes remaining when Kiyotake played a deft through ball into the path of Adam Hlousek who raced on and finished below Sebastian Mielitz.

Kiyotake's goal was his second of the campaign while the assist was his first as Nurnberg sit 15th on the Bundesliga table.
