Jeremy Brockie admits he would trade a few of his goals to add to the wins tally of the Wellington Phoenix.
The 25-year old New Zealand international is second on the A-League scoring charts with 14 goals, one behind Central Coast Mariners' Daniel McBreen, but would love it if the Phoenix were sitting in the final six with more than the six victories they have mustered this season.
"Personally in terms of goals I've been pretty happy with the amount I've scored," Brockie told AAP.
"I wanted to come here and build on the nine that I scored last year (with Newcastle Jets) which I've done so far. It would have been nicer to have a couple less goals and a couple more wins on the tally though."
And Brockie said one of his Phoenix teammates has graciously stepped aside in order to get the A-League Golden Boot award to Wellington.
"(Paul) Ifill has been a nice gentleman and handed me the penalties for the rest of the season," he added.
