Kilmarnock casting eye over Novo, Bouzid, Belaid and Silva

Kilmarnock manager Allan Johnston is still pondering the prospect of bringing in four new players.

Former Rangers striker Nacho Novo, ex-Heart of Midlothian defender Ismael Bouzid, Inter Milan alumni Tijani Belaid and former Killie winger David Silva are all trialling with the Rugby Park club and Johnston is deciding whether or not to offer each of them a contract.

"We've got four trialists in, they have been training with us this week," he said.

"We are not going to rush into a decision but hopefully we can make a decision within the next week or so.

"It would be good to bring in a centre-half and an attacking option as well, whether that's wide or up front, just to add a bit of creativity."

Along with 'Gers, Spanish striker Novo has spent time with Huesca, Dundee and Sporting Gijon whilst French-born Algerian centre-back Bouzid calls Kaiserslautern and Galatasaray some of his past club.

26-year old French-Tunisian midfielder Belaid has had spells with Slavia Prague and Hull City while Cape Verde winger Silva, currently with Portuguese club Olhanense, was with Killie between 2010 and 2012 and has also played for CSKA Sofia.
