Kilmarnock striker Kris Boyd is being heavily linked with a winter move to Blackpool.
The 30-year old, who has scored 12 Scottish Premier League goals this season, is a reported target for the Seasiders following the appointment of Barry Ferguson on an interim basis.
Ferguson, who has stepped in for the sacked Paul Ince, is a former Rangers teammate of Boyd's and could come calling before the end of January according to Killie boss Allan Johnston.
"You wouldn't be surprised that people are going to be looking at Boydy," Johnston said.
"He's a proven goalscorer. I want to keep him here but ultimately it would be the chairman's decision."
