Matthew Kilgallon admits his late season run in the Sunderland first team is "incredible".
The defender seemed to surplus to requirements earlier this season.
But now he is hoping to keep his place on merit for the remaining four games of the season.
"It's been an incredible turnaround for me since Christmas and I don't really want the season to end, to be honest," he said.
"It was hard when I was out of the team. You can start doubting yourself and wondering what has happened to you."
