Kilgallon excited making Sunderland debut

Matt Kilgallon is ready to make his Sunderland debut.

Former Sheffield United defender Kilgallon is in line for a quick-fire Barclays Premier League debut at Everton tonight - and he can't wait to get stuck in.

"I'm not sure what's happening as the gaffer hasn't told us the team yet, but we've done a little bit of work on shape in training today," he told safc.com.

"I'll have to wait and see, but I've made sure I've prepared for the game right and we'll see what happens from there.

"Playing in the Premier League is what it's all about and I'm looking forward to it. Everton are a big club with a nice ground and hopefully we can go there and win.

"I'm feeling a mixture of nerves and excitement, but having a few nerves is always good.

"Everton are a good team with good players and they're on a bit of a run at the moment. They've won a few games recently so it will be interesting.

"I've settled in well so far. We've had some good fun and the lads have good banter, so I'm happy."
