Tottenham defender Bongani Khumalo hopes a first English preseason will give him a senior team chance at White Hart Lane.
The South Africa international impressed in six matches as Preston fought against relegation but his season was cut short when he suffered a fractured metatarsal against Millwall in April.
"It was a great experience to play my first matches in England," he told the Spurs website.
"I worked hard at Spurs with all the coaches, got used to the environment, the players and conditions and it was great to get a test of all I'd learned at Preston.
"I did all I could, but my loan spell was cut short through injury."
