Sami Khedira has hit out at the way he was treated by Real Madrid management. The Germany midfielder has announced he is leaving when his contract expires in June.

"We must always tell the truth. Yes I had an injury, a sore right heel, but this was not the reason I did not play. It was not a complicated injury, I could play," Khedira told Marca.

"I've always felt supported by the coach, but indirectly it was transmitted to me and told me that no, I would not have a fair chance of continuing to play.

"I want to clarify that I have been a professional until the end, that (Carlo) Ancelotti often congratulated me for my attitude in training, but then I did not play ... I have no choice but to accept things and the decisions of the club."
