Josh Kennedy scored yet again for Nagoya Grampus as they cancelled out a three-goal deficit to earn a 3-3 draw with Jubilo Iwata in the J-League.
Played at Nagoya's Mizuho Athletic Stadium, the home side were stunned when Jubilo's Ryoichi Maeda scored twice in the first half before adding a third just minutes after half-time.
It looked like the contest was all over until Jubilo defender Kentaro Oi knocked in an own goal on the hour-mark which gave Grampus small hope.
The hope grew when Australian international Kennedy netted with 15 minutes to go which was followed by a Keiji Tamada penalty in the 80th minute which tied the scores.
To add to the drama, Grampus had Montenegrin striker Igor Burzanovic sent off with two minutes remaining but that did not affect the final outcome of the match as Nagoya completed a thrilling comeback in front of home fans.
