Stoke City No2 Dave Kemp is confident neutrals will be happy seeing the club in the Premier League next season.
The Potters appear safe after victory over Norwich City.
Kemp said: "The stadium is full every week and everybody is happy when you win, that tells you something.
"If it's Stoke City this week (in the press), it will be somebody else next week. If you want to be popular you don't want to be a football manager.
"I think from the outside people admire what Stoke City have achieved - and I think people here do too. But you will always get somebody to fire some criticism."
