Roy Keane has taken aim at Manchester United fans in a new interview. Keane quit as Aston Villa assistant manager last week.
Keane said: "If United fans say I had a decent career, then brilliant. If they want to say, 'What's gone on with the Ferguson stuff?' then f*** them."
The Ireland and United legend was speaking with FourFourTwo magazine, which goes on sale this week.
And in it, Keane claims he would end his poisonous row with his Fergie - but only if his former boss coughs up an apology.
Asked by the magazine would he ever make up with Ferguson over a pint, Keane said: "Well, it would be a cup of tea. If Sir Alex apologises, then yes, I would. If Ferguson apologises, I would be happy to move on.
"For Ferguson to bad-mouth me after I left, I think he does owe me an apology."
And pressed if he and the Scot were too alike, Keane agreed they were.
"Yes. It was never going to end as a pal's act," he said of his departure from United. "I was never going to leave with champagne and flowers."
