Keane prefers to share glory with LA Galaxy teammates after match-winning brace

Robbie Keane was back to his goalscoring best on the weekend as LA Galaxy arrested a two-game losing streak by beating Chicago Fire 2-0 away from home.

Former Tottenham striker Keane bagged a double as the Galaxy moved up to fifth on the Western Conference table but he found it far more important for the team to produce all three points rather than him scoring twice.

"Of course we want to score as many goals as we can, but the important thing is the team and getting points on the board and that was the case," Keane said.

"It was important that the team won, it's not about one individual. It's about the whole team. I'm happy enough for the team."

Keane opened the scoring in the 24th minute when he converted from the penalty spot before adding to that with a low finish on his left foot from a Landon Donovan pass with just over ten minutes remaining.
