Sunderland boss Roy Keane must decide the futures of a raft of players he sent away on-loan this season.
The Black Cats had five players on loan to Championship clubs in recent months with Andy Cole and Stanislav Varga at Burnley, Russell Anderson at Plymouth Argyle, Greg Halford at Charlton Athletic and Graham Kavanagh at Sheffield Wednesday.
Young prospects Peter Hartley and David Dowson have also returned from their loan spell at League Two side Chesterfield, while Spanish midfielder Arnau Riera is yet to complete his loan spell at Scottish Premier League side Falkirk.
