Former Arsenal striker Nwanwko Kanu is urging Odion Ighalo to end his international retirement.
On-loan from Shanghai Shenhua, the Nigerian striker has been outstanding for Manchester United since his January, scoring twice again last night for their Europa League win at LASK.
Ighalo retired from the Super Eagles last year, but Kanu is now urging him to reverse the decision.
“Nigeria needs every good player no matter where they are playing or their age," he told Goal.
“If he performs in Manchester United, we will ask him to come back and tell him to forget what he said.
“This is football and we have to watch and see how the situation would unfold. Not just Ighalo, Nigeria need whoever is in form."
