Juventus veteran Sami Khedira is being linked with West Ham.

Calciomercato.com says West Ham are hoping to launch an audacious move to sign Khedira.

The German midfielder, who has suffered from a number of knee injuries over the years, is out of the picture at the Allianz Stadium and is set to depart when his contract expires.

The 33-year-old is keen on a move to London as his partner, Melanie Leupolz, has joined Chelsea Women.

And that could give the Hammers the advantage in snapping up the experienced midfielder on a free transfer, with his wage demands not expected to be a stumbling block.
