The agent of veteran Italian strikers Luca Toni and Filippo Inzaghi has revealed that his clients might be interested in a possible move to Major League Soccer.
34-year old Toni, currently with Juventus, and 38-year old Inzaghi of AC Milan are being linked with a potential move to incoming MLS franchise Montreal Impact with Quebec site 985Sports suggesting player representative Tulio Tinti was keen to make contact with Impact sporting director Nick DeSantis.
Tinti was quoted as saying: "Luca Toni and Filippo Inzaghi have a certain age and may have an interest in this kind of experience. We would consider seriously, as they will both be free agents after the season. But for now, we have not yet spoken."
Both players have had brilliant careers in their homeland and with the Italian national team with Toni also spending time with German giants Bayern Munich where he was a prolific scorer, helping them to the 2008 Bundesliga title. He was also a key member of the 2006 World Cup-winning Italian side.
Inzaghi has scored goals for fun during his Serie A career which has seen him win the title on three occasions - with Fiorentina in 1998 and with AC Milan last season and in 2004 - and was also a member of the '06 World Cup squad.
